Calm under pressure and great to have in the edit suite, Adam puts clients at ease and delivers quality work on time, all while keeping the process smooth, collaborative, and enjoyable.
How it Began
It all begins in the hopeful 1990s, in a small former mining town tucked away in a forgotten county in the North of England. It was here that a young, introspective boy first discovered the emotional power of moving images. Through the glow of a television screen - whether hand-drawn animation, a carefully crafted cinematic masterpiece, or even a black-and-white commercial - he found himself able to feel deeply sad one moment and fantastically joyous the next.
After studying Science and Maths into adulthood, Adam decided to change direction, combining his love of technology with storytelling, he took the leap into filmmaking. As his understanding of the filmmaking process grew, he gravitated towards post-production, and editing in particular. The role perfectly balanced technical problem-solving with an exploration of human psychology - the art of shaping emotion through story.
With no industry contacts to lean on, Adam took matters into his own hands. He saved up, bought a cheap DSLR, and began shooting his own projects. It was during one of these shoots, deep in the countryside, that chance intervened. A man walking his dog stopped to ask about the DIY camera rig Adam was operating (a concoction of left over copper pipe and spare metal found in his Grandad’s garage). After a short conversation, the man introduced himself as a producer — and offered Adam his first editing job: a small corporate promo. Seizing the opportunity, Adam turned that single job into a series of corporate projects, eventually relocating to Manchester where he gained a foothold in a small commercial and corporate production company.
From there, Adam moved into a post-production house, working primarily in TV broadcast. Over time, he progressed through offline and online editing roles, building both technical expertise and creative confidence. While seeking new challenges, Adam made the leap into freelance work - a move that has since seen him contribute to a wide range of projects, from small corporate films to long-form drama, documentary, sport, children’s, educational content, promos, and live events.
Working across such a broad spectrum has given Adam the confidence to tackle any challenge thrown his way — and he’s always on the lookout for the next one.

Values
Be Knowledgeable
A craftsman is only as good as his tools, and Adam is committed to sharpening both. He continually updates his technical skills to stay aligned with evolving technology, while always pushing his storytelling further — from tightly paced 30-second shorts to full 90-minute features.
Be a Problem Solver
Problems are an inevitable part of life, and filmmaking presents its fair share. Whether a performance or idea doesn’t quite translate as expected in the edit, or a workflow issue threatens to slow the process, Adam is equipped to handle it — always taking a practical, solution-focused approach.
Be Decisive
Editing is the art of decisions — hundreds made each day, from the smallest frame-level adjustments to the overarching shape of a story. Adam makes these decisions with confidence, guided by what will ultimately strengthen the project.
Be Timely
Momentum matters. Adam works quickly and efficiently, always thinking ahead to avoid bottlenecks that can slow a project down. His calm approach keeps the process feeling controlled rather than rushed — while still delivering on time.
Put the Project first
Having an editor who hasn’t been part of pre-production or principal photography introduces a fresh, impartial perspective. Adam listens openly, navigates differing viewpoints with ease, and always ensures the decisions serve the story.
